University of Melbourne to deliver Australian College of Insurance Studies course
We are delighted to announce that the University of Melbourne’s Law School will be offering the ACIS course Commercial Insurance Law as an intensive course in November 2026. The course will be led by Fred Hawke and Dr Ian Enright, supported by ACIS course content and materials. As part of our arrangement with the University of Melbourne, the university has appointed individual ACIS faculty members as teachers for the course, in accordance with its current practice. This arrangement prompted a restructure of ACIS while enabling ACIS to support the course and its teaching.

The course is relevant to operational business risk management and will cover insurance products such as material damage and resultant business interruption, public and products liability, professional indemnity, errors and omissions, crime and trade credit insurance.
